Murdo Girl…Snorting is a good thing

DRIVING MISS CRAZY

I’m being driven crazy and I don’t have far to go

When I finally get there, I hope someone lets me know.

I’m not sure if crazy looks like the picture in my head.

Is it something that I did? Or something that I said?

I was doing fine this morning when I dressed myself for church

I found a dress to wear in a quick two minute search.

I was feeling pretty sane for an hour…maybe more

Until my friend, Pat, and I, watched my slip fall to the floor.

It lay there at my feet as if to say, “cut me some slack!

My elasticity is gone, and it isn’t coming back.”

A see-through skirt in church might be rather sordid

Pat didn’t feel my pain… We started laughing til we snorted.

I was reminded of the time I made Bermuda shorts look like a skirt.

I held my legs together until my knock knees began to hurt.

To those driving me crazy, I only have this to say.

I got there a long time ago, crazy’s back the other way.

That’s about all you can do is laugh about it. Keeps the blood pressure lower. I’ve had a few wardrobe malfunctions myself in my lifetime. I don’t think I snorted though. 😉

Not everybody snorts when they laugh, 07. Sometimes it can be more embarrassing than the incident you’re laughing about. 🙂

This happened to Wyn Hope, Bob Hope’s brother’s wife and the archivist at his production company when I worked there. They were doing a huge televised (live) tribute to Bob Hope and they sent a limo and driver and escort for her. All the press was there and as she got to the top of the steps leading from the limo into the hall and turned around for the press photos, her skirt fell to the ground. (She had no slip on.. only underpants.) Her escort just reached down, pulled it up and escorted her into the gala. I don’t think the press published photos but she told me about it in a letter afterwards. I’d already stopped working there and moved to N. CA. She was in her nineties and skinny-hipped. She had a great sense of humor and laughed about it.

I don’t know why I didn’t throw it away right then instead of putting it in my purse
