Those 70ish Girls

I can’t believe we’ve already been gone five whole days. I wrote five days yesterday, but I was mistaken. This was our fifth day out. At least we get to spend three more whole days in Galveston. We don’t leave for Fredericksburg until Friday morning.

It barely reached 71 today, but it’s supposed to be in the high 70’s to low 80’s for the next few days. They mentioned rain, but I’m ignoring that part of the forecast.

Did I tell you that we really love our spot here at the Jamaica Beach RV Park? We’re the last ones on our row so it’s pretty private. I didn’t get around to putting the table cover on or the lounge chairs out, today. We also have a little propane fake fire burner and a grill we probably won’t use at this stop. You should see how some people decorate their spaces… especially the ones who are wintering here.

We did take the dogs to the beach this afternoon. Kip pulled the wagon we got to carry chairs, water for the dogs, and whatever else we think we’ll need. We took it this time in case little Pattie got too tired. She’s the same age as Sammie, but she has this thing about walking. She doesn’t like to do it. She’s short, but she’s a stocky little thing and there is no way we could carry her if she decided she was done. On the way back, we tried to give her a ride in the wagon. She didn’t like it and bailed out twice.

Tomorrow, we’re going to our favorite place for breakfast…The Sunflower Cafe. We plan to come back to get the dogs and spend at least a couple of hours at the beach. We also want to play putt putt golf here at the park, but will probably skip the indoor hot tub.

So tomorrow is planned and it all sounds like fun to me. I’ll report back tomorrow night.

One more thing. We had to go to Walmart to get a prescription filled for Kip and I got new eyes for my Angel. She looks better don’t you think?
