They’re sick, sick, sick and we’re going to have to operate
We must remove the ugliness or hate will seal our fate
It’s all far too confusing. What’s the new law of the land?
We all wear a mask and stick our heads into the sand

When terrible things happen, someone else is always faulted
The truth sinks to the bottom and the lies are catapulted
The smallest irritation turns into massive fuming
We communicate by tweeting and/or endless zooming

We have to stay six feet apart or end up six feet under
Politicians and scientists really make us wonder.
The politicians in DC have had too many birthdays
The ever maddening scientists are in a COVID daze
We might all topple over like Christopher Columbus
Is it possible to find common sense among us?

If you believe the media, someone should slap you silly
Instead of sticking to the facts, they give us willy nilly
I don’t think any one of us expects to see perfection
We just get tired of hearing…wait till after the election
Let’s find a doctor who can make a big incision
And remove all the vitriol with much needed precision
If the politicians and scientists can not be saved soon
We’ll have to save ourselves and send them all to the moon

This says it all, but there’s still hope. We the people still can say,”Nope.”
You sure can make it rhyme, MG. And I, sweet cuz, have great faith in thee.
