Murdo Girl…Our magical Christmas

The magical Christmas I describe in the poem is one of many I experienced as a child growing up in the small town of Murdo, South Dakota. My family, including aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents, gathered together each year to celebrate the traditions of Our magical Christmas Eve.

I hope you will all be blessed this Christmas with the magic inspired by the birth of Jesus all those years ago.

I’m a little late getting to this..Ah, nostalgia. I remember that cap of your grandpa’s…Patti and I were debating today what day the church Xmas program was. I was sure it was on Xmas Eve. Looks like you agree with her. Loved hearing all of these familiar names..I loved Tet. She was such a welcoming presence in Sanderson’s Store. Loved your recital of the Sanderson Christmas. Well done, Mary.
